The First Vision and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Elder LeGrand R. Curtis Jr., Church Historian and Recorder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, addressed the conference held at the Huntington Library in January 2020 and discussed Joseph Smith’s First Vision, what it means to the Church today, and eight ways the Church shares the vision. These include: (1) in scripture, (2) by missionaries, (3) through publishing the different accounts of the vision, (4) in Saints: The Story of the Church of Jesus Christ in the Latter Days, (5) through primary sources on the Joseph Smith Papers website, (6) in essays found in "Church History Topics" in the Church History section of the ChurchofJesusChrist.org, (7) at the Church History Museum, and (8) at the Sacred Grove historic site in Upstate New York.
