1985 was designated the European Music Year. For that occasion Hans-Wilhelm Kelling wrote an article honoring two of the world’s greatest composers: George Frederick Handel and Johann Sebastian Bach. Born a month apart, each composer differed in so many ways, but remain similar in that they lived lives filled with happiness and sorrow which influenced their music and us forever. Richard H. Cracroft examines Nephi Anderson’s works, which have been virtually ignored up to now, and documents Anderson’s successes and failures.
