7-6 Synopsis of the Four Gospels

Explanation:

Altogether, the four Gospels report 290 episodes, vignettes, or pericopes connected with the life of Jesus. By knowing these 290 segments, modern readers have in broad view all that the Gospels reveal. Chart 7-6 lists all these segments. For convenience, this chart largely follows the order of Matthew. Highlighted in italics are those sections that are found in all three of the so-called synoptic Gospels, Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Although John contains by far the most unique information, Matthew and Luke each present information that no other Gospel preserves.
