The following list, extracted chronologically from entries in Deed Book B, contains city lot filings on “Plat B,” the third and permanent area chosen for city expansion after initial settlement in the Compact Fort and interim relocation to “Plat A” (see app. 8 for Plat A filings). Note that lot sizes have expanded, each lot now measuring 8 by 12 rods. Entries here occur between 1855 and 1857; original spellings and abbreviations have been retained. Partial lot transfers, of which there are several, are not included in this tally.

c. Possibly “John Groves” or “John Greaves” with an inadvertent extra minim on the v, creating the appearance of a w.

d. Presumably an incomplete spelling of “Bowering.”

e. The lot and block numbers on this entry are identical to those on the entry of John Walker 2nd (Deed Book B, p. 47, 4). A missing transfer between the men is possible, but a miswritten lot or block number is more likely.

f. This entry records the same lot and block as that allocated a year earlier to John Gerber (Deed Book B, p. 76, 7), identical to the problem referred to in the note just above.
