Sayso or Sense

Creative Art

In this short story, Israel Gordon has told his wife Amy that the house he is building can have anything she wants. More than anything she wants a basement. But her spirits are crushed when Israel’s father, the experienced craftsman building the house, overrides the idea of a basement and all of her other plans for a perfect house. Amy begins to be suspicious of any of men’s decisions and to believe that men have more “sayso” than sense.
