God's Apprentice
Poem
The bench-lit yellow morning
With its dew dripping softness
Hanging yellow walls;
Your parabolic eager banging
Coining the given mettle:
Hammering out the pure
Purposive craft:
While the membered machines
And the tools lay waiting
For the zealous simple rhythm
Of your glad and boyish heart.
