Nature and the Bourgeois Poet
Poem
On emerald pasture set in fiery seas
Of harvest ruminated sated cows.
Then rain blurred summer in a veil of scent.
The cows remained at ease;
but I, Nature’s haberdasher, jeweler, parfumier, went
back unrapt and wet to the house.
