Carter Charles
Carter Charles is an assistant professor in the Department of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University. Prior to coming to BYU, he was a tenured faculty at University Bordeaux Montaigne (France), where he obtained all of his degrees: a BA in linguistics, literature, and history of Anglophone countries (2004); two MAs in American studies (2005 and 2007); and a PhD (2013), for which his dissertation was titled “The Political Integration of Mormons in the United States, from Reed Smoot to Mitt Romney.”
