J. Michael Pinegar

At the time of this lecture, J. Michael Pinegar was the Joel C. Peterson Professor of Finance. He earned his MBA and PhD from the University of Utah and his BA from BYU. Before joining BYU’s faculty, he taught at the University of Iowa. At BYU, he has served as the Finance Group leader, the chair of the Business Management Department, and in many other assignments at the department, college, and university levels. He has been honored with the Marriott School Outstanding Faculty Award, the Marriott School Outstanding Researcher Award, the Merrill J. Bateman Outstanding Professor Award, and the Karl G. Maeser Distinguished Lecturer Award.
