Sarah B. Gordon
Sarah Barringer Gordon is Professor of Law and History at the University of Pennsylvania, where she teaches courses in American legal history, law and religion, and American religious history. She earned a B.A. at Vassar College in 1982, a J.D. at Yale Law School in 1986, an M.A.R. in ethics at Yale Divinity School in 1987, and a Ph.D. in history at Princeton University in 1995. She has published several articles on religion and the law. Her book The Mormon Question: Polygamy and Constitutional Conflict in Nineteenth-Century America was reviewed in BYU Studies 41:3.
