The significance of voyage and painting is told by Richard G. Oman. Howard A. Christy provides an article on the Martin and Willey Handcart companies, and Norman Edward Wright provides one on pioneer odometers that measured the length of the journey for those first saints traveling by wagon train to the Salt Lake valley. F. LaMond Tullis tells the story of Arwell L. Pierce, who when he became mission president, reunited Mexican saints after schisms had separated them.
